Work-life Balance: Ensure to have a good balance between work and your personal life. While there may be instances where you would have to work extra hours to ensure that the end users are satisfied, it is important to find some time for yourself to unwind. Consequently, this will allow you show up to work reenergized and all geared up to contribute effective results.
Talk to someone: If something is bothering you at the expense of your motivation being drained, it is advisable to talk to someone outside of your workplace who you can confide in. Couple of people you could reach out to are your family, friends or a mental-health professional. Bottling up all your emotions will affect you negatively in the long run; therefore, please vent out your feelings from time-to-time. As a result, this will aid in you being more relaxed and comfortable at workplace.
Being Proactive: Be transparent with your line manager if there is something that is bothering you at the workplace. However, be professional with your conversation and always be humble. Your line manager is there to provide you with the required support. If you do not reach out proactively, you may end up in a situation where you are "crying over spilt milk". Therefore, act quick to avoid dealing with conflicts in the mere future.
You are playing a role: Always remember that you are playing a role n the organization, and your role is to serve specific requirements for the business needs. The role does not define you as a person. Whatever happens within your role, stays within your role. while it may be difficult, It is important to draw the line between the role and yourself as a person.
Stay empathetic : Acts of kindness and love can dissolve all sorts of conflicts and get you back on track quickly. Acknowledge the fact that not everyone will see through the lens as you and it is imperative for you to not impose your thoughts on others. Respect and value others' opinions and put yourself in their shoes to understand why they may hold opinions that differ from yours. Knowing the position of the person at the opposite end will provide you with peace of mind during times of conflict at workplace.
